Schedules Direct has been informed that our data source: Gracenote
(formerly Tribune Media Services) will be ending the guide data service
used by tv_grab_na_dd. Their plan is to end support for this service on
November 1, 2014.
tv_grab_na_dd already has a patch committed that uses a SD hosted
service. The only change needed by clients (like tv_grab_na_dd) is a
host name change.
I expect a XMLTV release in the next week or so to give packagers time
to release updated packages. http://alpha-exe.xmltv.org is available
now. Worst case, instructions on a hosts file workaround will be
published closer to the cutover date.
tv_grab_na_dd users just need to upgrade to the latest release (or edit
the hostname in the URL to dd.schedulesdirect.org )
For more details and dicussion please check out the SD forum
