If you look at the API configuration you have an initial stage where you
select the region. Maybe an intermediate stage if some available options
depend on first selecting other options. And at last the channel selection.
I suppose a more generic question encompassing the above is: what is the --list-channels option used for?
I'm not sure about the intended use case.


I'm not sure if I understand the question with the other regions/lineups
correctly.
What good is the guide for a channel that is only available outside of
your region? The only use case that I can come up is when new channels
become available at your local lineup/region and you want to see if they
are already carried by your guide provider. But that is only done by
power users / the maintainers. As some providers restrict the lineups
depending on your plan or upstream configuration we can't provide a
solution for all use cases anyway. So in the end the current solution
might be good enough.
