As there is a working relationship with SD, I was wondering if it wouldn't be simpler to ask if they can calculate/store the relevant times (broadcast time, original air date, others?) as epoch-seconds in *their* database (as an additional field), when they import the schedule data. Then the grabber could fetch a pre-converted time in the JSON, and wouldn't need to do it itself. Saves the conversion being done by every user who runs the grabber (i.e. only ever done once rather than 100s of times).

Just a thought.
